FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN
12/16/2022
YCIA members packed food for food-insecure children worldwide at Feed My Starving Children. Our members packed 65 boxes of food containing 14,040 meals. The meals that were packed on December 16, 2022, were shipped to countries all across the world. The hard work of our volunteers made it possible to help thousands of people.

PEROT MUSEUM COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

YCIA members volunteered with the Perot Museum to help celebrate community engagement in its 10th Anniversary and the 10 million minds they’ve inspired along the way.

PEROT MUSEUM VOLUNTEER DAY

YCIA volunteers worked alongside Perot Museum Exhibit Educators in any number of fascinating exhibit halls or in more hands-on areas such as Perot’s Bio or Challenge Labs. Our volunteers were at the educational forefront, engaging guests in an array of scientific fields ranging from paleontology, astronomy, earth sciences, biology, engineering, and more.

HIGH SCHOL COURSE SELECTION SEMINAR
1/15/22
Several current seniors and high school graduates from YCIA provided information to incoming high school students about their respective schools/districts. They discussed GPA, rank, class selection, extracurriculars, and answered questions from the audience. This seminar offered insightful knowledge about the high school experience, impacting the community’s students and parents alike.

YCIA members packed food for food-insecure children worldwide at Feed My Starving Children. Our members packed 53 boxes of food containing 11,448 meals. The meals YCIA members packed on December 29, 2021, were shipped to Honduras. The hard work of our volunteers made it possible to help thousands of people.

HELPING THEÂ HERITAGE FARMSTEAD MUSEUM

Our YCIA volunteers worked at the Heritage Farmstead Museum by serving as tour guides to provide customer service and program support in different areas of the museum such as historic buildings, the Young House, open-air exhibition galleries, wagon rides, the garden, the farm, etc. Furthermore, our volunteers helped visitors get the most out of their experience by welcoming and assisting visitors throughout public areas, answering questions, and directing them to programs, events, and exhibitions.

HIGH SCHOOL PLANNING SEMINAR
1/2/21

SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS
9/4/2020
YCIA members met together to create and sign thank-you letters to express our gratitude to essential workers during the pandemic. The letters were mailed to local fire stations, police substations, and schools.

HOSPITAL FUNDRAISING
4/16/2020
YCIA fundraised and delivered 30 meals to the Baylor hospital ICU healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic to show our support and express our gratitude for their hard work.

MINNIE'S FOOD PANTRY DONATION
4/2/2020
The YCIA treasurer donated $2,425 collected from YCIA members along with family and friends to Minnie’s Food Pantry. Along with the previously self-donated $500, we raised almost $3000, which helped Minnie’s Food Pantry buy nearly 9,000 servings of food! All of the donated money served to help people who need food in these difficult times.

NORTH TEXAS FOOD BANK DONATION
12/20/2019
YCIA members donated more than 100 canned-food boxes to the North Texas Food Bank.

The meals YCIA members packed on October 11, 2019 were shipped to the Food for the Poor program in Guatemala. The hard work of our volunteers made it possible to help thousands of people.
